And yay ! With the beginning of Fall, TV is back again....the summer of Big Brother (what a disappointment, right ?) is over.....and we are back to some oldies Grey's Anatomy ! Ugly Betty ! The Office ! and a few newbies Gossip Girl !...ok, just one newbie, thank goodness :) I hate to admit how much I love television, but I just do.

Not that I think I am the end all be all of music...I can't even begin to know all I probably need or want to know...but I still love it. When I find something I really love, I can't help but tell everyone about it. I've been listening to a few new albums lately: the new pornographers, wilco, etc...and although I love them both they aren't in the heaviest rotation on my ipod right now.
The other day, I had my ipod running on shuffle and came across a song that I had never heard. Apparently, I had obtained it through one of my various paste magazine compilations. Anyway, the song was so engaging to me that I had to have the full-length album immediately. Here is the album:
Teddy Thompson: Separate Ways

He actually has a new album out already that contains various country music covers, but his first album is just amazing. Take a listen if you can.
The other album I can't get enough of can be heard in it's entirety on their myspace page.
Stars: In Our Bedroom After the War

So that is my two cents worth for music this week. I love the feeling I get when a song has made it's mark on me. It's a feeling that I am in love with, and constantly search for...I don't know...it's nice to know that when it comes to music, I can have that feeling of falling in love over and over again :)

new music
I've spent the whole summer doing anything but think about music. I kind of thought that I was just slacking..that there was plenty of new music out there that I was just missing out on. Thankfully, this wasn't the case at all ! There truly was a music drought.....Well, the drought is finally over. Let good music rain down ! (haha, i know cheesy, but i couldn't help it ). Here are a few of my favorite new albums right (in order of relevance):
New Pornographers - Challengers
Rilo Kiley - Under the Blacklight
Bishop Allen - The Broken String
If you can check any of these out, your life will only benefit from it :)
